There is also an excellent screen capture (print screen) application called "Ksnip" that can also open existing images to edit them which can easily add text as well. All of them can easily add text to images. There are many excellent image (photo) editors available to install and use from simple to use (Kolourpaint, etc.) Pinta, to more advanced like Gimp, Inkscape, etc. Did you mean that you downloaded and installed "MyPaint" vs "MtPaint"? I do not see a Text tool in MyPaint? But "mtPaint" has a text tool (never used mtPaint before). This was really easy to do in MS Paint on Windows Could someone list the steps to do this. To label family history photos I have downloaded Mt Paint, trying to do this. One task I need to learn how to do is to add a caption below a photo.
